JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client has an opportunity available for a Data Architecture Lead to be based in the Johannesburg area.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems or related field
Data certifications preferred (SSIS, Microsoft)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior-level data management role
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the management of technical teams
Experience in building data architecture
Experience in designing and implementing data driven solutions
Thorough understanding of data architecture
Strong working knowledge of complex data warehouse design, architecture, development and maintenance
Strong working knowledge of data solution architecture, design and development
Strong working knowledge of data process automation and business process automation design, architecture and development
Strong working knowledge of SSIS and SSAS
Strong experience working with dynamic coding as opposed to hard coded environments
Strong technical documentation expertise
Strong programming skills (Python, C#, java etc.)
Understanding of data analytics (Power BI)
Understanding data science (ML Tools/packages, AI)
Attention to detail

KPAs:

Designing and implementing data strategies, systems, and solutions
Overseeing the collection, storage, management, quality, and protection of data
Implementing data privacy policies and complying with data protection regulations
Design a centralized data architecture that can be used by all business units to retrieve information
Design instruments of data gathering
Oversee data management (Azure DW, SSIS) and data security
