DC Procurement Manager

SUMMARY:
DC Procurement Manager - R20k p/m - Sandton - Perm - Start soonest

POSITION INFO:

Established liquor outlet needs a competent individual to join their team. Duties will include but not be limited to:
1. Buying all products
3 Teams: Wines; Spirits & Bulk
i) Maintaining correct stock levels including minimum & maximum levels
ii) Good Buying i.e. apply best price strategy –quantity discount vs time to sell
iii) Avoid out of stocks; Aggressively chase out of stocks
iv) Make sure ‘special’ orders are purchased – events; catalogues etc timeously
v) Ensure excess stock is returned to suppliers: no expired or non-moving stock (including catalogue gifting stock)
vi) Give timely feedback to sales team when out of stocks occur and then when resolved.
Vii) Communication improvement – Suppliers / External Clients / Internal Clients.

2. Do all admin WRT leave, clocking, pay slips, sick leave, days off for all internal warehouse staff
3. Help control daily cycle counting
4. Maintain the ‘”adjust” bin with full audit trail on “missing” stock with reasons
5. Maintain and supervise HV cage
6. Maintain and control warehouses 3040, 3029, 3050,
7. Help in the control of Syspro stock items WRT descriptions, on/off hold status pricing, back orders blocking sales and barcodes
8. Problem solving with all sales staff wrt stock in system not available or on back orders due to open orders and SCT’s not being maintained
9. Assist wherever needed outside of normal job description

Daily Actions:
Stock Min levels checked
All P/O at correct contract price
Purchase orders completed
Bin Adjustment investigation
O/S List management
Daily Warehouse checks – 3040/3029/3050
Returns to Suppliers management

Weekly Actions:
Investigate stock upliftments from Illovo
Slow or Dead stock Management and reports
Expired stock management and report
Hr Management – Leave / Time administration / Awol Reports
Weekly HV Cycle counts management

Monthly Actions:
Month end Hr reports
Rig purchase reports
Deal plt purchases reports

General requirements:

Matric
3-5 years experience in a similar role
MS Excel advanced skills
Syspro experience advantageous
Exposure to the liquor industry preferable
Stable track record with excellent contactable references
