Cycle Counter

SUMMARY:
Distribution Client in JHB North looking for a Cycle Counter:Responsible for daily scheduled cycle counts of stock in the warehouse, or special inventories as required and investigate any inventory discrepancies to find the root cause of the issue. Must have Forklift License

POSITION INFO:

Legal Compliance

• Follow Company policies at all times

Finance

• Ensure stock inventories are accurate and reconcile against sock inventories
• Report areas where high risk of theft may take place

Stakeholder Relations

• Build and maintain trust relationships with the Management Team, Colleagues and Customers to ensure specific targets are met
• Work as part of the Warehouse Team to ensure a smooth warehouse operation
• Work collaboratively and engage with key Stakeholders to achieve specific targets
• Strive to maintain an ethical Team environment

Cycle Count Tasks

• Monitoring and controlling the reliability of physical stock counts
• Research stock count discrepancies and reconcile them
• Responsible for completing physical cycle counts
• Track and report non-conforming product
• Resolve stock count problems in a timely manner
• Document and report damaged product
• Update and manage the Company system of stock movement
• Report daily counts to Team Leader
• Conduct Bin Location Audits
• Ensure that all stock is stored in the correct locations
• Report out of stock items
• Have weekly meetings with Team Leader and Warehouse Manager

Health & Safety

• Keep the warehouse clean and tidy at all times
• Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained in line with safety procedure and policy
• Follow Health & Safety procedures
• Report risks and hazards to the Team Leader
• Report accidents and incidents immediately to the Team Leader 

• Grade 12 qualification
• Forklift license
