About the Position

Midvaal Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established third-party courier and logistics company operating throughout the Vaal Triangle.

Our client has almost 23 years of experience in the industry and provides courier and logistics services to major courier companies and corporate clients.

The business handles time-sensitive freight, including small parcels, palletised deliveries and chain-store back-door deliveries.

We are looking for a professional and customer-focused Customer Service Agent to join the team.

The successful candidate will act as an important link between customers, the office and the operational team, ensuring that customers receive accurate information and professional assistance regarding collections, deliveries and courier-related queries.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries professionally and efficiently.

• Assist customers with collection and delivery-related queries.

• Provide accurate updates regarding freight and delivery status.

• Liaise with the operations and warehouse teams regarding collections and deliveries.

• Communicate collection and delivery information to customers.

• Follow up on outstanding deliveries and operational queries.

• Assist with resolving customer complaints and service-related issues.

• Record and follow through on customer queries.

• Maintain accurate customer and delivery information.

• Communicate professionally with clients, drivers and internal staff.

• Escalate operational issues where necessary.

• Provide excellent customer service at all times.

• Assist with general office and administrative duties when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service, call centre, courier, logistics, transport or administration.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Professional telephone manner.

• Computer literate.

• Strong administrative and organisational skills.

• Ability to multitask and prioritise.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to deal professionally with customers and resolve queries.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure.

• Previous courier or logistics experience will be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be reliable, professional, service-driven and hardworking, with the ability to remain calm and organised in a busy operational environment.

Salary

R10,000 per month, depending on experience, qualifications and suitability.
