Customer Service Administrator - Salt River - R8 600 to R9 000 per month

The company that produces grinds, and sharpens all types of blades for their industrial and manufacturing customers in South Africa and Southern Africa seeks a Customer Service Administrator to receive blades, document them correctly, add them to an Excel spreadsheet to expedite the production flow, print reports for team leads and do basic capturing on Omni

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate information when providing customers with service quotations and ensure we provide reliable and trustworthy customer service
  • Follow clear instructions and guidelines for receiving and dispatching client orders
  • Identify and understand customer needs to provide a high quality of service
  • Communicate professionally with customers via telephone and e-mail for purposes of updating customers of the status of their orders
  • Directing customer calls to the correct department
  • Updating of customer payments received in our accounting package
  • Escalate any queries, complaints to the relevant team member to ensure the client query is handled and resolved promptly
  • Ensure action is taken to increase customer retention, loyalty and maintain Roemer’s very credible reputation
  • Capture Sales Orders and process Invoices accurately
  • Understand and adhere to the company and department standards, policies, and procedures with regards to Consumer Protection Act and Occupational Health and Safety
  • Adhere to procedures to promote a culture where customers are treated fairly and are properly informed
  • Pro-active problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Teamwork

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word 2010 or current
  • Omnia Accounting system (or similar)
    • Processing Sales Orders
    • Processing Invoices
    • Completing Inter Account Transfers
    • Billing Queries
    • Stock queries
    • Customer contact capturing
    • VAT calculations
    • Call handling on PBX
    • Calculator, Callipers, Ruler
