What you will be doing:
- Accounts Payable Management
- Oversee invoice receipt, approval, and payment processing
- Ensure accurate recording of transportation expenses
- Maintain procedures for invoice validation and payment scheduling
- Ensure timely submission of Proof of Deliveries (PODs)
Vendor & Stakeholder Relations
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
- Resolve queries and escalations efficiently
People Management & HR Processes
- Lead and develop the Creditors team
- Manage recruitment, performance, and disciplinary processes
- Foster open communication and teamwork
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to policies and regulations
- Implement controls to mitigate financial risks
- Stay updated on industry best practices
Process Ownership & Improvement
- Own and improve creditor processes
- Identify automation and workflow optimization opportunities
- Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years' experience in accounts payable (transport/logistics preferred)
- Strong accounting, financial analysis, and internal control knowledge
- Proven leadership and HR process management experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Hands-on, approachable leader with strong ownership mindset
