Creditors Manager

SUMMARY:
A premium brand Company that owns several organizations in the Incident Logistics, Autobody Repairs, Salvage, Technology, and Insurance Industries, is looking for an experienced Creditors Manager to join their team at their offices based in Sandton.

POSITION INFO:

The purpose of this position is to effectively manage and run the AP department (approximately 11 staff members) whilst adhering to strict deadlines and payment terms.  This is a pressurized environment with huge volumes and strict deadlines.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and supervise the AP department
• Manage functions like AP ledger, accounts payable reconciliation authorisations and discounts receivable
• Ensures that the controls, policies and procedures within the AP Department adhere to company policies
• Ensure that the accounts payable department meets the company’s financial obligations efficiently
• Oversee and ensure accuracy of all AP payment transactions
• Standardize procedures to generate efficiency in-house
• Be active on the service provider service front (towing industry) and be quick and accurate with communication
• Maintain amicable relationships with other departments in the organisation
• Drive concepts to create working solutions by ensuring correct alignment and utilization of resources within the department

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree / NQF 7 in Finance

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Motor / Insurance Industry background preferable
• Minimum 7 years of Creditors Management experience
• Deadline driven with strong problem-solving abilities
• Advanced Excel skills and prior working experience with ERP systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and time management skills
• Organized with strong attention to detail
• Good leadership skills to train, mento rand guide staff
• Ability to implement and maintain proper controls and payment procedures
• Fast learner and open to understanding the operations of the business
• Highly adaptable and able to work with a diverse team
• Identify areas of strategic improvement and implement measures to improve / fix problems
• Be hands on and must be able to organize, multitask and manage time effectively
• In depth understanding of Accounting processes
