SUMMARY:
Creditors Clerk and Cashbook - Spartan - SAP required

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The main purpose of the role is to play an active role in the Finance department as well as the business as a whole. The role consists of a range of responsibilities that include but are not limited to bank reconciliation, cash book maintenance as well as COD supplier maintenance.

The job holder reports directly to the Financial Manager.
Management of various Banking profiles for the group of companies.
Maintenance of the cash book for the group of companies.
Maintenance of accurate financial records.

Responsiblities:

Loading all payments onto various banks.
Preparation and loading of COD payments on various payment dates.
Loading 30 day credit payments.
Capturing of COD supplier invoices.
Maintain bank balances.
Cash book/bank recons.
Manage COD supplier aging.
Monthly clearing of Intercompany accounts.
Botswana VAT calculations.
Create new cod supplier codes on system.
Ensure all statutory payments have been made.
Send inland credit card statements – monthly.
Send management bank balance – every Friday.
Ensuring costs are allocated correctly in the GL.

Month end duties:
4.13 Preparing and capturing journals for AESSEAL accruals.
4.16.1 Preparing and posting journals.
4.16.2 Invoicing for intercompany based on loan accounts.
4.16.3 Assist with financial audit and reviews.
4.17 Any ad-hoc tasks requested from management.

Health and Safety Awareness

Ensure work area and surrounding stations are safe and comply with the minimum requirements.
Overseeing or carrying out of all safety protocols.
Ensure proper working conditions of dangerous machinery and equipment.
Report all SHEQ incidents, accidents, near misses and participate in the investigation of incidents, accidents and near misses.

Requirements:

Full and clean driving license
Grade 12 / N2 in Maths and English (or equivalent)
Diploma in finance/accounting or equivalent.

2 – 3 years in cashbook and/or creditors experience.

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Bank Reconciliation
• Good understanding of Financial Principles.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages
• Ability to prioritise work and manage projects
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Time Management
• Attention to detail
• Customer relations management

Salary - R15- R25 kpm CTC
