Creditors Clerk - Cornubia, Durban

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Creditors Clerk to join their team in Cornubia, Durban

POSITION INFO:

Job Specification

Ensure invoices are matched against requisitions, purchase orders and goods received notes with reference to quantities, quality, description, and price

Ensure the correct GL account & vendor account is utilised when processing invoices in Accounts Payable module

Ensure that the correct VAT is applied to invoices

Preparation and submission of local and Foreign creditors’ reconciliations (ensure invoices follow sequence)

Forward remittance advice to suppliers after completion of payment run

File all invoices after payment run according to the agreed filing protocols.
Prepare monthly analysis of the creditor''s list

Assist with balance sheet recons during the course of the month and the finalisation at month-end

Audit deliverables are maintained according to the standard required by the auditors

Any ad-hoc duties which are assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification

A relevant certificate in Bookkeeping or Finance will be advantageous

Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar position

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Any accounting system experience

Arranging courier and transport

BEE (assist in executing below)

Skills development

Sending foreign payments to the bank

Excellent communication skills

Accurate and have great attention to detail

Ability to apply procedures

High-level excel and email skills for reporting purposes
