Think: infrastructure, sovereign, and public-sector investments where your modelling, structuring and risk strategy expertise actually moves the needle.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Originate, appraise, and structure complex credit transactions to optimise risk-adjusted returns and achieve development impact.
Conduct rigorous financial and credit analysis, due diligence, and risk assessments across multiple sectors and geographies.
Develop and implement robust credit risk mitigation strategies, including blended finance and sustainable finance instruments.
Build and review detailed financial models, perform scenario testing, and present clear, data-driven investment recommendations.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to bring deals from origination through to financial close.
Lead, mentor and support junior credit professionals, building technical capacity and strengthening the credit value chain.

Job Experience and Skills Required

Honors/postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Risk Management or a related field.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in credit risk analysis, portfolio monitoring, or financial analysis within wholesale, investment banking, or development finance.
Proven track record in originating and structuring complex transactions, including infrastructure and public-sector projects.
Strong experience across African markets is essential.
Advanced financial modelling and credit assessment skills.
Strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management ability.
Familiar with ESG principles, sustainable finance, and blended finance frameworks.
High proficiency in credit systems, risk management tools, and financial analysis platforms.
Professional certifications such as FRM, or CFA are advantageous.
Experience with sovereign or sub-sovereign lending will set you apart.
