POSITION INFO:
Our trusted client is looking for a skilled Creditors Controller to take full ownership of the accounts payable function. This role offers exposure to a high-volume, structured finance environment where accuracy, deadlines, and strong supplier relationships are key.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys end-to-end creditors control, working closely with internal departments and suppliers, and contributing to smooth and compliant financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) to suppliers
Process, verify, and match supplier invoices to POs and delivery notes
Perform supplier reconciliations and resolve invoice discrepancies
Ensure the timely payment of creditors in accordance with agreed terms
Maintain accurate and up-to-date creditor records
Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs
Assist with month-end processes, including accruals and reporting
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures
Support audits by providing relevant documentation

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience:
- Proven experience in creditors control or accounts payable
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Experience managing supplier accounts and reconciliations
Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g. Pastel)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Non-negotiables:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
