An established and growing manufacturing company within the automotive sector is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cost Accountant to join their finance team. Role Overview

The successful candidate will support the finance department across the full finance function, with a strong focus on costing, reporting, and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment. This role offers hands-on exposure and the opportunity to develop into a more senior financial position over time.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Assist with product costing, cost analysis, and variance reporting
Support the full finance function, including month-end processes
Prepare and maintain costing models and standard costs
Monitor and report on manufacturing costs and efficiencies
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Analyse financial data and provide insights to improve margins
Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records
Work closely with operations to understand production and cost drivers

Minimum Requirements

BCom or BTech degree in Finance / Accounting
2+ years’ experience in a costing or finance role (manufacturing exposure advantageous)
Good understanding of the full finance function
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Excel (intermediate to advanced preferred)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and within a team
