SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established and progressive turnkey engineering and fabrication company, seeks to employ an efficient and experienced Cost Accountant who meets the following very specific experience.

Please note this role is suited to candidates who have worked in the manufacturing/engineering environment, with knowledge of projects, stock and ERP systems management.

POSITION INFO:
KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:

You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Cost and Management Accounting, and 2+ years of experience in a similar role.

You must have experience in the Manufacturing or Engineering industry, experience in Excel and ERP systems, as well as having both excellent problem-solving skills, and strong administrative skills within the field – a keen eye for detail is essential for organisation and coping under pressure.

You will be preparing and managing project files, liaising with project-department, and be involved in the invoicing of projects and maintaining project invoicing milestones as per sales order payment terms.

You will attend weekly production meetings to monitor progress of projects, liaise with Work in Progress stores for unissued requirements, as well as liaise with Procurement department for requirements not received

You will review Bill of Material vs transactions on job costing report on ERP systems, be responsible for variance analysis and resolution

You will prepare job closure and costing summary ensuring all supporting documentation is on file, as well as be in charge of the costing of manufactured parts used in Production or on Lease lines

You will assist with stock counts, in conjunction with the assistance of financial year-end audit

You must have a valid driver's license, a clear credit and criminal record and your own reliable vehicle.
