Cost Accountant needed in Richards Bay ASAP!

POSITION INFO:
A leading food manufacturing company based in Richards Bay is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Cost Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

This role is ideal for someone with strong manufacturing exposure who thrives in a fast-paced plant environment and takes pride in accuracy, meeting deadlines, and driving cost efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain standard costing processes
• Perform detailed variance analysis and provide insights to management
• Maintain and analyse Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Monitor and control inventory, including WIP and finished goods
• Ensure accurate costing and reporting within strict deadlines
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiencies across the plant

• BCom Degree (CIMA advantageous)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a cost accounting role
• Experience within a manufacturing/plant environment highly advantageous

• Proven manufacturing cost accounting experience (standard costing, variance analysis, BOMs)
• Strong inventory, WIP, and cost control expertise
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines
