Job Purpose
The Corrosion Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all industrial painting and abrasive blasting activities on-site. The role ensures that corrosion protection processes are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily industrial painting and blasting operations.
- Ensure all surface preparation and coating applications meet required standards and specifications.
- Monitor adherence to safety procedures, especially for high-risk activities such as working at heights and confined spaces.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and enforce site safety compliance.
- Review and implement Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA).
- Ensure all team members are properly trained, certified, and equipped for tasks.
- Coordinate with project management and other site supervisors to meet project deadlines.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality control and compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, incidents, and inspections.
- Enforce legal liability and SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) requirements on-site.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience as a Corrosion Supervisor within the construction or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial painting and abrasive blasting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
