POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience working on conventional lathes (milling experience advantageous).
• Trade-qualified Turner or candidate nearing completion of their qualification.
• Solid understanding of manual machining principles and tolerances.
• Competency in taper turning is essential.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate conventional lathes and milling machines safely and efficiently.
• Perform taper turning operations to required specifications and tolerances.
• Set up machines, tools, and workpieces according to job requirements.
• Read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings.
• Measure, inspect, and verify components using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain machines and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
• Work independently to produce quality components within required timeframes.
