JOB DESCRIPTION:

Salary: R550 000 CTC per annum plus discretionary 13th cheque

Location: Johannesburg

Our client is currently in the process of appointing a full-time Training Manager to:

  • Organise and expand webinar and seminar offerings
  • Source skilled presenters and topics relevant to the development of company secretaries and governance professionals
  • Promote, market and organise in-house training to various corporates
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key individuals at relevant faculties in Southern African universities and companies
  • Present the company at university open days

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of, LLB, B Com (hons), B Ed (hons), or similar degree
  • Experience as a Training Manager or Events Manager ESSENTIAL.
  • Experience in training or lecturing would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of corporate governance and corporate law essential

Responsibilities:

  • Develop training programmes
  • Find suitable training presenters for webinars, seminars and full day workshops;
  • Develop a database of potential presenters;
  • Attend to the effective evaluation of trainers;
  • Investigate potential training areas for members
  • Arrange training courses on topics related to company secretaryship, corporate governance, law and accounting;
  • Approach organisations for the purposes of offering them in-house training tailored to the requirements of the organisation; and
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all company systems, products and services in order to provide an exceptional training experience.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Serve on various Committees with a view to adding valuable input where applicable.
  • Promote, market and organise in-house training to various corporates
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key individuals at relevant faculties in Southern African universities and companies
  • Organise and attend the Social and Ethics Committee meetings – prepare meeting packs,minutes and meeting logistics
  • Organise and attend internal committee meetings and hosting conferences as well as the editorial committee for the Institutes publications

Skills and Attributes

  • Ability to build and maintain relations with internal and external clients
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and oral
