POSITION INFO:

Position Summary: The successful candidate will deliver a quality compliance and risk management service to clients at a regional level. This role requires adherence to compliance requirements as dictated by the FSCA.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Deliver outsourced compliance functions to financial services clients.

   

   

• Fulfill compliance requirements in accordance with FAIS, FICA, and other applicable legislation such as POPI, the Companies Act, Medical Schemes Act, and the Insurance Act.

   

   

• Establish a culture of compliance and provide a compliance risk framework to clients.

   

   

• Assist clients in achieving TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) outcomes.

   

   

• Provide high-quality, personalized, and substantive reports to clients.

   

   

• Source and sign up new clients.

   

   

• Maintain all required business records.

   

   

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a registered and approved Compliance Officer with the FSCA (FSB).

   

   

• Must be approved by the FSCA for Category I at a minimum.

   

   

• Hold a recognized Legal or Accounting degree, or another qualification approved by the FSCA for Compliance Officers.

   

   

• A minimum of 3 years'' proven experience in compliance or risk management within the financial services industry is required.

   

   

Competencies and Skills:

• Strong working knowledge of compliance legislation, including FICA and FAIS. Knowledge of POPI is an advantage.

   

   

• Knowledge and understanding of risk management principles.

   

   

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

   

   

• Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and under pressure.

   

   

• Proficient presentation skills.
