Compliance Consultant

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Regional Compliance Consultant to join our team based in George, in the Southern Cape. This role is ideal for a bilingual person (fluent in English and Afrikaans) with strong compliance knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills, looking to make a meaningful impact by supporting clients in navigating and meeting regulatory requirements.

As a trusted advisor, you will deliver tailored compliance and risk management solutions, provide training, and drive the implementation of best practices in line with FSCA, FICA, POPIA, NCR, and related legislation. You will also actively support the growth of the client base across sectors, including the financial services industry, legal and property practitioners, and other FICA-accountable institutions.

This position is home-office based, with significant travel required within the Southern Cape region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver outsourced compliance and risk management services in line with FSCA, FICA, POPIA, NCR, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Prepare high-quality, personalised reports and business solutions for clients.
• Conduct training sessions, webinars, and seminars for individuals and groups.
• Support clients in implementing strategic business practices that improve performance and ensure compliance.
• Engage in client relationship management, networking, and new business development within the IFA and wider accountable institution market.
• Work collaboratively with regional team members to contribute to a positive, high-performing environment.
• Maintain accurate records and utilise internal systems for effective reporting and client engagement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• A FSCA-recognised qualification (preference for BCom, Legal, or Accounting degrees).
• Experience in the financial services industry, preferably in compliance or risk management.
• Registration as a Category I Compliance Officer with the FSCA (advantageous but not required).
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.
• Fluency in both English and Afrikaans (written and verbal).
