Compliance Analyst

Location: Durban - Banking Sector

Your expertise will ensure that every transaction, process, and report meets the highest standards of compliance. Think of yourself as both a detective and a protector — spotting irregularities, ensuring timely reporting, and guiding teams across the business.

What you’ll be doing

• Reviewing and clearing sanction alerts, escalating suspicious cases when needed

• Managing daily regulatory reporting to the FIC (CTRs, IFTR)

• Reviewing and responding to Section 27 & 32 requests

• Ensuring SARS payments are processed on time

• Conducting compliance monitoring and preparing monitoring reports

• Supporting branches with freezes, unfreezes, and dormancy removals

• Collaborating with auditors and internal stakeholders on compliance matters

• Handling compliance queries and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations

What you’ll bring

• 1–3 years’ experience in compliance/regulatory roles within a banking environment

• An LLB or related qualification, plus compliance-related certifications

• Solid understanding of the FIC Act, Regulations, and banking legislation

• A sharp eye for detail and commitment to accuracy

• Strong knowledge of industry best practices and the confidence to apply them
