Compilation Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client in George is seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Compilation Manager to take ownership of client portfolios and oversee the compilation of financial statements in accordance with applicable standards. The successful candidate will manage a team of trainee accountants, ensure compliance with tax and VAT regulations, and maintain strong client relationships while meeting strict monthly deadlines.

POSITION INFO:
Description:

• Take full responsibility for allocated client portfolios
• Compile Annual Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS / IFRS for SMEs
• Prepare and review Provisional and Income Tax calculations
• Reconcile input and output VAT to monthly trial balances
• Conduct detailed reviews of work completed by team members
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to trainee accountants
• Ensure all monthly deadlines are met timeously
• Maintain accurate, compliant, and high-quality financial reporting
• Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
• Identify and resolve accounting and compliance discrepancies

• Matric with exemption
• Proven management experience or experience supervising and leading a team
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English)
• Experience with CaseWare or Draftworx
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Solid VAT and Income Tax knowledge
• MS Office proficiency
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
