SUMMARY:
One of our client is a statutory body established by the Medical Schemes Act (131 of 1998) to provide regulatory supervision of private health financing through medical schemes is looking for a Communications Co-Ordinator/ Administrator for a six (6) months fixed-term contract position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will work within the Stakeholder Relations Unit of the Council and will be responsible for:

  • Proving an administrative function that supports the Communications sub-division in executing and monitoring marketing and communications strategies.
  • Creating public relations and marketing materials such as press releases, website and social media posts, and newsletters.
  • Tracking and reporting analytics on marketing and communications campaigns and coordinating promotional events.

Skills and Knowledge Base The successful candidate will have the following key competencies and skills:

  • Diploma or a Bachelor''''s degree in marketing, communications or journalism qualification;
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Communications/Marketing/Journalism;
  • Organisational skills & time management;
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal);
  • MS Office; and
  • InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop will be an added advantage.
