Commercial manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, a spontaneous South African multichannel media logistics company is looking for an enthusiastic Commercial manager to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Job & Company Description:

• you will own & drive the operations of CL’s various distribution channels.
• Your efforts will be focused on understanding, reporting, monitoring and improving operational metrics and ultimately the service we provide our customers. To do so you will need to partner internally with various stakeholders, externally with CL operations partners and
• transportation carrier partners, both national and regional service providers, and disruptors.
• This individual will identify continuous improvement opportunities while partnering with cross
• functional internal and external partners.
• A key deliverable of this responsibility is the improvement of systems, tools and processes, as well as increasing scope of service offerings, finding innovative new ways to reduce our customers cost of last mile delivery and enhance consumer experience.
• Working with analytics partners to analyse, mine and use data efficiently you will ensure value-adding
• reporting to both management and our customers.
• The right person for this role is a supply chain oriented, transportation person. A self-motivated problem solver who finds ways to proactively lead a sophisticated network of carrier operations to
• ensure timely pickup, on-time delivery and exception management.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or Engineering

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 7 years minimum experience, logistics operations, preferably courier, ecommerce, or retail.
• strong commercial experience
• Experience in the negotiation of rates with suppliers and eCommerce experience would be an advantage.
• The person will negotiate with courier companies for rates in terms of the delivery service that OTD provides.

Remuneration:

R50 000.00 – R60 000.00 CTC
