Remuneration: R260 000 per annum CTC + commission + compulsory provident fund + option of medical aid 50/50 (negotiable on salary)

Our client has a Service and Repair Division (Workshop) repairing Trucks and Trailers and are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Service Advisor to join the team.

Purpose Of The Job:

Maximise service sales and profitability through accurate quotation and servicing advice but also providing customer service confidence in the company. Ensure the highest standards of courtesy and efficiency in customer contacts and communication, record customer requirements and details accurately, understand the customer’s concerns and record vehicle details and service history accurately.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Administrating all admin required duties for the Service and Repair Centre Service Advisor function
Following up with orders and parts requirements on all current and future jobs
Responsible for the total customer handling process in the service and repairs area
Achieve high level of customer satisfaction and confidence to increase loyalty and trust
Generate service business volume (selling parts and labour through interactive reception and upselling opportunities)
Build and maintain a positive service image amongst customers
Handle all customer requirements by offering alternative repair solutions and pricing options
Able to motivate and technically validate and converse with customers on warranty and policy related repairs and matters
Must be able to handle all customer complaints and issues up to a certain level
Support the workshop scheduling system and work with foreman regarding the customer volume (appointments) too fully utilise workshop capacity
Uses all methods of customer communication, including bookings, phone calls, email and in-person interactions, to schedule and book service and repair appointments
Follow-up 48 hours after the service / repair to ensure the customer is satisfied with the work done
Maintains positive relationships with customers to ensure repeat and referral business
Develop sales leads for future business and forward leads to the sales department

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience as a service advisor in a truck/trailer service and repair workshop environment. The client could consider STRONG SERVICE ADVISORS from other automotive sectors
Grade 12
Certificate in Service Advisor’s course
Knowledge of sound customer satisfaction processes
Preparation of quotations
Customer service and administration
Computer Literacy: MS Office (essential)
Experience in recording and administration systems pertaining to company and customer requirements on Syspro or similar ERP system (essential)
Experience in workshop practices in the efficient servicing and repairing of customer vehicles
Sound trailer/truck/automotive technical and product knowledge
Understanding of workings of warranty terms and conditions, service and maintenance plans/ programmes
Automotive Industry experience Essential!!
