SUMMARY:
We are seeking a reliable Code 14 Driver to transport vehicles, automotive components, materials, and equipment between workshops, suppliers, customers, and delivery sites. The role requires safe driving, proper cargo handling, accurate documentation, and adherence to all road and company safety standards.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Transport production, customer and modified vehicles between facilities, suppliers, testing areas and delivery points.
Collect and deliver automotive parts, components, consumables and equipment.
Load, secure and unload cargo safely using appropriate straps, tie-downs and handling equipment.
Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle condition records.
Complete delivery notes, proof of delivery, inspection forms, driver logs and fuel records.
Plan safe and efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines.
Report vehicle defects, damage, maintenance requirements and safety concerns promptly.
Maintain clean and roadworthy transport vehicles.
Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers, suppliers and vendors.
Comply with all road, safety and company driving regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric / Grade 12.
Valid Code 14 Drivers Licence – NON-NEGOTIABLE.
Clean driving record.
Minimum 2 to 3 years professional driving experience, preferably in automotive, logistics or manufacturing.
Experience with trailers, flatbeds, vehicle tie-downs and towing.
Good knowledge of vehicle and cargo handling procedures.
Basic mechanical aptitude.
Physically fit and able to lift up to 23 kg.
Good command of English, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
Reliable, punctual, self-motivated and deadline-driven.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

ADVANTAGEOUS: Forklift experience, towing/car-hauler experience or automotive aftermarket/body shop experience.
