SUMMARY:

Looking for a Code 10 Driver with 2+ years of experience in the courier/logistics industry. Must have a valid Code 10 license and PrDP. Matric certificate advantageous.

POSITION INFO:

Job Title: Code 10 Driver

Seniority Level: Mid-Career (2 - 4 yrs exp)
Region: Gauteng
Location: JHB - Central

Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver and collect parcels and freight as per daily schedules and routing plans.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
Ensure all documentation is accurately completed and returned.
Adhere to all road traffic rules and company policies.
Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and operations team.
Assist with loading/unloading of parcels as required.
Handle parcels with care to avoid damage or loss.
Use handheld devices or delivery apps for navigation and tracking purposes (if applicable).
Report any delays, accidents, or incidents immediately.

Minimum Requirements:

Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
Minimum of 2 years driving experience, preferably in the courier/logistics industry
Matric certificate or equivalent (advantageous)
Clean driving record with no major accidents or traffic violations
Good knowledge of road networks and GPS navigation
Physically fit and able to handle heavy parcels
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
Customer-focused with good communication skills
