POSITION INFO:
The President Hotel is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation, and we are creating a new opportunity for a Cocktail Bartender to join our Deck Bar team.
We are seeking a talented and charismatic Cocktail Bartender to provide exceptional beverage service at our vibrant Deck Bar. The ideal candidate will be passionate about mixology, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and deliver memorable guest experiences through professional service and creative cocktails.
Experience & Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years’ bartending experience in a luxury hotel, cocktail bar, or high-end restaurant

Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and mixology techniques

Barista or wine knowledge advantageous

Excellent guest service and communication skills

Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism

Strong attention to detail and presentation

Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and cash handling

South African citizen with a valid ID
Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, and spirits in line with hotel standards

Deliver excellent guest service, creating a welcoming and engaging bar atmosphere

Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of the Deck Bar at all times

Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory management

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations

Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner

Upsell beverages and promote specials to maximise revenue

Collaborate with the F&B team to support events, activations, and themed evenings
