The Role: Cloud Trainee

This role exists to support the semi-senior and senior team members while developing an understanding of accounting principles. It contributes to the business by processing client records, preparing management reports, and handling outsourced finance functions. The focus is on client service, internal procedure adherence, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out different aspects of audits, accounts, and corporation tax as directed.

• Support the semi-senior and senior team members.

• Analyze, summarize, and reconcile client accounting records.

• Process client records for outsourced finance functions and prepare VAT returns for review.

• Assist with the preparation and submission of complex accounting records and management reporting.

• Engage clients in a professional manner.

• Complete associated administrative work.

• Understand and adhere to internal procedures and external compliance requirements.

• Understand the firm’s customers and sector makeup.

• Understand the firm’s services and solution offerings.

• Understand the company’s goals.

About You

• Willingness to study for AAT/ACCA qualifications.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Competency using Excel spreadsheets.

• Ability to maintain professional relationships.

• Ability to prioritize workloads effectively, maintaining high work rate with high quality.

• Fluency in written communication using concise business terminology.

• Fluency in oral communication that conveys authority to both clients and colleagues.

• Ability to see tasks through to completion and within agreed timescales.

• Keen attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.

• Ability to monitor own workload to resolve issues and maintain appropriate communication.
