SUMMARY:
The Client Success Manager owns the client relationship from onboarding through to renewal. This is not a passive account management role and requires a strong understanding of sales, sales development, pipeline activity, and the full SDR-to-close journey.

Own the client relationship from onboarding through to renewal, using sales development and pipeline insight to keep clients informed, confident, and receiving value from their programme.

Remote – South Africa | US Eastern Standard Time (EST) Hours | R410,000 – R465,000 per annum, depending on experience

Our client operates within B2B sales development, supporting clients through sales development programmes and the SDR-to-close journey.

THE ROLE: CLIENT SUCCESS MANAGER

The Client Success Manager owns the client relationship from onboarding through to renewal. This is not a passive account management role and requires a strong understanding of sales, sales development, pipeline activity, and the full SDR-to-close journey.

The role focuses on keeping clients informed, confident, and receiving value from their programme. You will run client meetings, build performance reports using HubSpot data, manage onboarding, identify risks early, and identify opportunities to grow client relationships.

You will work closely with the Sales Development Manager, who owns the SDR team and delivery, as well as the Client Services Director on retention and retainer renewals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the client onboarding process, keeping timelines on track and communication clear from day one.
• Run regular client meetings and calls independently, building trust and long-term relationships.
• Work closely with the Sales Development Manager to ensure deliverables are understood and client expectations are met.
• Monitor scope and flag risks early, keeping programmes on time and on brief.
• Use HubSpot data to build clear performance reports and turn pipeline activity into client-facing insight.
• Manage tasks and workload visibility across client accounts using ClickUp.
• Become the go-to person for clients, understanding their goals and identifying opportunities to grow the relationship.
• Work closely with the Client Services Director on retention and retainer renewals.
• Develop programme strategy and optimisations based on performance data and client feedback.
• Provide clients with clear communication about what is working, what is not working, and what needs to change.

ABOUT YOU

• 3+ years of experience in a client-facing role within a sales or sales development agency.
• Direct experience working within or alongside an SDR function.
• Exposure to the SaaS or technology sector, either through direct experience or managing clients operating within that space.
• Strong HubSpot knowledge, ideally using it for reporting and pipeline visibility.
• Working knowledge of ClickUp or a similar project management tool.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.
• Confident written and verbal communicator at all levels, including senior stakeholder conversations.
• Able to manage scope and timelines while maintaining client relationships.
• Must be fully available to work US Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
