We’re looking for a dedicated leader to head our Internal Audit function and help ensure robust governance, risk management, and internal control practices across the organisation
As Chief Internal Auditor, you will lead a high-performing Internal Audit team that provides independent, objective assurance and advisory services. Your role is critical in supporting Medihelp’s strategic goals through a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes.
You will report administratively to the Principal Officer or a Head delegated by the Principal Officer, and functionally to the Audit & Risk Committee.
Requirements
A relevant tertiary qualification in Internal Auditing or related flied
Internal audit leadership and professional judgement
NQF 7 certification in Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or CISA
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in management
Strategic planning and alignment with Organisational goals
Knowledge of GIAS, King IV, COSO, and Control frameworks
Stakeholder engagement and governance reporting
Experience in clinical auditing and IT Auditing
Experience with ACL/Arbutus/Cognos advantageous
