Chef de Partie - All-rounder

SUMMARY:
Luxury Safari Lodge in Pongola, KwaZulu-Natal, is looking for an ALL-ROUNDER CHEF DE PARTIE to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
The ideal candidate will be a passionate and versatile chef who enjoys working across multiple kitchen sections. This role requires someone who is organised, hardworking, and able to maintain high culinary standards while working in a lodge environment.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie
• Experience working in a luxury lodge or hospitality environment would be advantageous
• Solid all-round cooking skills with the ability to work across hot kitchen, cold kitchen, and pastry sections
• Strong understanding of food preparation, presentation, and portion control
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen cleanliness
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to work well within a small and close-knit kitchen team
• Passion for food and creating memorable dining experiences for guests

• Assist the Head Chef in preparing and presenting high-quality meals for lodge guests
• Work across various kitchen sections when required
• Ensure food is prepared according to the lodge’s standards and recipes
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
• Assist with stock control, ingredient preparation, and kitchen organisation
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all dishes
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Contribute ideas and creativity to menu development when required
