SUMMARY:

Our client is looking for a reliable, hands-on and versatile Chef/Baker to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for both kitchen and bakery duties and should have solid chef experience, combined with a genuine interest and ability in baking and bakery production.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a consistently high standard.
Assist with menu preparation and daily food production.
Ensure food is prepared, presented and stored according to required standards.
Maintain high levels of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising food wastage.
Ensure the kitchen is organised and well maintained.

Bakery Duties
Prepare and produce a range of baked goods, pastries, breads and other bakery products.
Follow recipes and maintain consistency in quality and presentation.
Assist with planning and managing daily bakery production.
Ensure ingredients are correctly measured, prepared and stored.
Maintain bakery equipment and a clean, hygienic production area.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef, preferably with experience in a bakery environment.
Strong baking and bakery production skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of daily responsibilities.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Hands-on approach with good attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively within a small team.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work flexible hours in line with the operational requirements of the restaurant and bakery.
