Job Purpose
To supervise scaffold erection teams, ensure work is completed safely and efficiently, and maintain compliance with company procedures, client standards, and legal requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Advanced Scaffolding Certificate
- Working at Heights Certificate
- 3-4 years' scaffolding experience
- Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience
- Medically fit
- Ability to read scaffold drawings and work packs
- Knowledge of OSHA and construction safety regulations
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise scaffolders and scaffold hands.
- Allocate daily work assignments.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Ensure scaffolds are erected according to specifications.
- Inspect completed scaffolds before handover.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Liaise with supervisors, engineers, and clients.
- Monitor productivity and quality.
- Maintain scaffold inspection records.
- Ensure adequate materials and equipment are available.
- Identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Mentor junior scaffolders.
