A qualified CERTIFIED WELDER is required to perform welding, fabrication, maintenance and repair work within a commercial vehicle workshop environment. Permanent employment based in Camperdown.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform efficient repairs and maintenance to vehicles.
- Ensure that the workplace remains neat and tidy.
- Document all work carried out on job cards.
- Perform visual inspections, calibration work and adjustments.
- Identify deviations, irregularities and unusual wear and tear.
- Retrofit and commission accessories and mounted components.
- Administer internal parts processes.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Grade 12.
- Certified Welder / Red Seal qualification.
- Engineering fabrication experience.
- NQF Level 3 qualification in Boilermaking.
- MIG Welding qualification.
- SMAW qualification.
- Minimum five years'' practical experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Traceable & contactable references
- Local residency or relocation required
