Category Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading multinational organisation, is seeking an experienced Category Manager to join its Supply Chain and Procurement team.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, develop category strategies, build strong supplier partnerships, and drive commercial value across the business while working in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving cost optimisation.
• Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for value creation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
• Manage supplier performance, risk, and compliance.
• Lead and mentor procurement and supply chain team members.
• Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional procurement certifications such as CPM, CPSM or CPIM will be advantageous.
• Proven experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement or Supply Chain.
• Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical, planning and project management abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to influence across multiple business functions.
