POSITION INFO:
Lodge Housekeeping is looking for a responsible individual for a fixed term period that will ensure a high standard of cleanliness and services is maintained in all lodges, public areas and laundry in accordance with all policies and procedures set by Delaire Graff Estate.
Responsibilities:
- To create a clean, orderly, and well-maintained environment for our guests and team members.
- To ensure that all lodges are ready and set-up according to standard within the given time frame.
- To ensure that the cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation of guest lodges, public areas, laundry, and back of house are maintained at all times according to company standards.
- To ensure that all repair and maintenance problems that need attention are reported.
- To ensure all guest laundry is done according to labelling instructions and returned within a reasonable time frame.
- To sort all linens and treat stains, load all laundry into washer on the correct program, and dry or iron according the individual requirements.
- To ensure all stock is replenished during morning and evening service.
- To maintain a positive attitude and a courteous and professional demeanour at all times.
- To anticipate and respond to all guest needs quickly, efficiently and courteously.
- To ensure that any guest complaints are brought to the attention of management.
- To follow all reasonable instructions.
- To report any breach of company policy to senior management.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years’ previous experience working in housekeeping;
- Excellent ability to pay attention to detail;
- Stress tolerance & able to work under pressure;
- High standards of ethical conduct, i.e. Honesty, integrity and sensitivity;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Planning & Organizing skills;
- Reliable and Adaptable.
- Ability to solve problems and find solutions
- Ability to cope under pressure
- Well groomed
