Cashbook / Creditors Clerk

SUMMARY:
A growing property management group in Centurion is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cashbook / Creditors Clerk to join its finance team. This is an additional role created due to business growth, offering an excellent opportunity for a candidate who can work independently, accurately, and under pressure within a high-volume finance environment.

The successful candidate will support a retail property portfolio across approximately 12 companies, managing cashbooks, creditors, and reconciliations using MRI Property Central (MDA).

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Full creditors processing and payments across ±12 companies
• Cashbook management and reconciliations, including main bank accounts and multiple smaller cashbooks (petty cash, promotional accounts, call accounts, etc.)
• Process high-volume creditor payments via internet banking
• Perform all reconciliations in Excel with a high level of accuracy
• Maintain and reconcile petty cash and promotional accounts
• Request, review, and resolve account queries with municipalities, Eskom, SLAs, and other service providers
• Ensure deadlines are met and financial records are kept up to date
• Work independently while collaborating effectively within the finance team

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cashbook / Creditors Clerk
• Strong working knowledge of MRI Property Central (MDA) – essential
• Very thorough understanding of cashbooks and creditor processing
• Strong Excel and MS Office proficiency
• Experience working with multiple entities / companies
• Previous property management experience (retail property preferred)
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Strong communication skills for interaction with service providers
