POSITION INFO:

IZI South Africa is currently seeking a professional and highly organized Temporary Cash Processing Teller to join our team at the Witbank branch.

This role is ideally suited for ambitious individuals with a strong aptitude for numerical tasks and a steadfast commitment to operational safety and security.

Position Overview

The primary objective of this role is to effectively manage the distribution of all cash containers and bags. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate counting, balancing, packing, and reconciliation of customer currency in accordance with established protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the reception and intake of all currency bags and containers.

• Efficiently distribute assets to designated processing areas.

• Ensure all receipting and documentation are completed accurately.

• Verify that all daily work is processed and cleared within the internal systems.

• Validate the integrity of information provided on all cash bags.

• Strictly adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and operational procedures.

• Maintain responsibility for the secure and timely processing of customer deposits.

• Assist in the preparation of customer coin and cash orders.

• Operate a variety of high-speed currency processing equipment.

• Identify and report customer cash discrepancies to supervisors to ensure prompt resolution.

• Responsible to operate a variety of high speed equipment

• Perform sorting and verification of bulk currency and coin from banks and customers.

• Accurately balance transaction totals and bulk funds.

Health, Safety, and Environment

• Participate in the development and monitoring of branch and national safety plans.

• Engage in safety forums, including meetings and educational talks.

• Report all safety incidents to the relevant people

• Report all safety incidents and participate in follow-up activities assigned by management.

• Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety policies.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 certification with Mathematics or Accounting.

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in a teller or cash-handling environment is preferred.

• Strong understanding of basic financial principles.

• Proficiency in computer literacy and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively within a team under high-pressure conditions.

• Flexibility regarding working hours, including availability for night shifts and weekends.

• Physical capability to lift and move heavy containers and trolleys.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a security-conscious mindset.
