Care Worker

SUMMARY:
Live-In Careworker (2 Weeks On/2 Weeks Off Rotation)
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Careworker to provide dedicated support and companionship to an individual requiring daily assistance. This is a live-in role for two weeks at a time, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life.

POSITION INFO:
Role:  Care Worker
Location:  Hermanus, Overstrand, Western Cape
Salary:  TBC

  What you’ll do:

• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility around the home and during outings.
• Assist with meals – from preparation to feeding when needed.
• Offer companionship, conversation, and social engagement to reduce loneliness.
• Monitor and report any changes in physical, emotional, or mental health.
• Assist with medication management under supervision.
• Accompany and support clients with medical appointments and follow-ups.

• Valid driver’s license.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• Previous care experience with verifiable references.
• Compassionate, patient, and trustworthy.
• Able to commit to a two-week live-in schedule.
