A leading specialist in fire protection and safety solutions is seeking a Candidate Fire Engineer / Fire Systems Specialist to join their team in Centurion, Gauteng.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional with experience in fire detection, suppression systems, and compliance, looking to grow within a dynamic engineering and property environment.

About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering end-to-end fire protection solutions across commercial, retail, and industrial properties — from site inspections and system design to compliance and maintenance.

POSITION INFO:
Fire Systems & Engineering (Fire Engineer Jobs South Africa)

Design and develop fire protection systems (alarms, sprinklers, suppression)
Conduct site inspections, surveys, and fire risk assessments
Perform system testing, servicing, and maintenance

Compliance & Regulations (SANS / Fire Safety Jobs)

Ensure compliance with SANS standards and fire safety legislation
Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates
Recommend fire safety improvements and risk mitigation strategies

Projects & Stakeholder Management

Work with architects, contractors, and project teams
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards
Provide technical support to clients and internal teams

Minimum Requirements

SAQCC certification (Handheld & Detection – essential)
Valid driver’s licence
3–5 years’ experience in fire systems / fire protection
Strong knowledge of fire detection, suppression, and alarm systems
Solid understanding of SANS regulations and fire safety compliance

Key Skills

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
High attention to detail and compliance
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and within a team
