Our client a leader in global logistics requires an experienced Freight Forwarding / Clearing Manager to join their dynamic team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a customs management role.
• Strong knowledge of road, air, and sea freight regulations.
• Experience in tariff classifications, duty calculations, and Incoterms.
• Proficiency in customs systems and clearance software.
• Shipshape experience is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Work Environment: Full-time, in-office role with standard business hours (not hybrid).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all customs-related processes for road, air, and sea freight shipments.
• Ensure compliance with SARS, customs laws, and international trade regulations.
• Oversee customs declarations, duty calculations, and tariff classifications.
• Handle bill of entries, customs coordination, and import/export documentation.
• Manage refunds, drawbacks, and duty recoveries where applicable.
• Work closely with clearing agents, freight forwarders, and logistics teams.
• Stay updated on changes in customs laws and Incoterms.
• Optimize customs processes to reduce delays and costs.
