QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or Communications, Marketing, or any related field;
• At least 3 years relevant experience in a content development and/or editing position for a business and conducting developmental and substantive language edits on technical material;
• Demonstrates a sound understanding of the local Government sector;
• Sound track record in effectively managing stakeholder engagements at all levels;
• Proven records of publications
• May be required to travel
• Valid driver’s license

PERFOMANCE FOCUS AREAS

• Planning and Coordination : Assist with administration of duties of communication and marketing team
• Marketing: Assist Manager: Marketing and Communications in managing integrated marketing and communications campaigns across offline and online tactics; assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas; plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels; provide support in development and execution of internal and external marketing campaigns
• Research and Analysis: Assist in analyzing communication and marketing data to help shape future marketing strategies: assist in developing and organize ideas for communication and marketing campaigns with the team
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Ensure that policies, communication and marketing guidelines are adhered to the staff; monitor the effectiveness and impact of the communication and marketing campaigns and develop and implement corrective actions to improve.
• Sound Governance and Risk Management: Anticipate and identify reputational and other risks in the production and communication of content and take corrective actions to mitigate the risks in a proactive manner; uphold sound corporate governance principles in the day to day work and comply with policies, procedures and standards
