CNC Milling Programmer/Setter

SUMMARY:
CNC MILLING PROGRAMMER/SETTER

POSITION INFO:

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and the required manufacturing sizes and visual quality of parts to be manufactured.
• Ability to identify the machining required and appropriate set-up equipment and jigs.
• Ability to program and set CNC Milling Machines without assistance.
• Ensure that the quality of the parts being manufactured are up to standard in that they are dimensionally and visually meeting the drawing requirements.
• Correct selection and accurate and proper use and handling of appropriate measuring equipment (bore and external micrometers as well as groove measurement required).
• Ability to meet set-up and production targets and efficiencies.
• Experience on the following machines are an advantage: HM800 with Fanuc Contol; Daewoo; Johnford; VMC 1050 with 4th
• First line quality control experience.

• At least 5-year CNC Milling Machine setting and programming experience
• Knowledge and understanding and Lean Manufacturing
• Knowledge of ISO is an advantage

• Must be a trade tested machinist / millwright
