SUMMARY: Diesel Mechanic
POSITION INFO:
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance on: – 4×4 and 6×6 heavy-duty construction trucks (concrete mixers, dump trucks, trucks with mounted cranes) – All-terrain cranes – Yellow plant machinery (dozers, TLBs, excavators, drill rigs, compressors, lifting machinery, etc.)• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.• Ensure all equipment is maintained to safe operating standards.• Keep accurate service records and report on completed work.• Provide on-site support for breakdowns and preventative maintenance at project camps.
Relevant trade qualification/certification (advantageous).
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic in construction/heavy equipment.• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and diesel engine systems.• Preferable experience in all-terrain cranes and drill rigs maintenance/repair.• Basic knowledge of electrical components will be an advantage.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.• Relevant trade qualification/certification (advantageous).• Willingness to travel to sites and camps when required
