POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced CASHBOOK CLERK / FINANCIAL ASSISTANT for a well-established company based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 (Grade 12 Accounting as a subject).

Relevant accounting / bookkeeping qualification/s.

English speaking person (must be able to read / write / speak English competently).

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Strong MS Excel skills.

Previous experience on Pastel and Pastel Payroll packages an added advantage.

2yrs+ previous experience in a similar position.

Daily bank reconciliations.

Daily stock movement reconciliations.

Daily ad-hoc payments to suppliers / clients.

Weekly wages on Pastel Payroll software.

Monthly reconciliations for cell phone accounts, credit card account, petrol card accounts, etc.

Travel requests and claims for all staff.

Stand in for the Receptionist (switchboard operator) when required.

Assist Managing Director, Accountant and Debtors Control Clerk when required.
