SUMMARY:
We are seeking to connect with Junior CAD Operators based in Cape Town who has experience in structural and civil engineering drafting environments. This role is suited to individuals with strong CAD capability and a solid understanding of engineering drawings who are looking to grow within a consulting engineering environment.
The role will involve both office-based drafting work and occasional site visits to support project delivery and gain practical project exposure.

POSITION INFO:

Experience in CAD drafting within structural and/or civil engineering environments, including the preparation of technical drawings and construction documentation.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to produce accurate, well-presented, and compliant engineering drawings.
Exposure to structural and civil design drawings, including reinforcement details, layouts, and general arrangement drawings.
Ability to interpret engineering sketches, mark-ups, and design information for drafting purposes.
Experience supporting engineers with revisions, drawing updates, and coordination of drawing packages.
Willingness to attend site visits from time to time to support project understanding and implementation.

Qualifications

BTech or BEng in Civil Engineering (or related qualification).
2 to 5 years’ experience in CAD drafting within civil or structural engineering environments.
Strong CAD knowledge and practical drafting ability are essential.
