SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Group Manager: Supply Chain, this role will provide a procurement function to ensure implementation and adherence to policies and procedures according to Supply Chain objectives and client needs.

POSITION INFO:

1 year Certificate in Supply Chain OR equivalent.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the supply chain field.

Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite.

Valid Driver’s License

Recommend new or alternative sources of supply by continually monitoring the supply market for new products or innovations according to standardisation and product testing procedures.

Facilitate and prepare for tender board meetings as required.

Negotiates trade terms and discount structures with suppliers.

Manage the pre/post expediting process to ensure delivery on or before promised dates.

Function as a member of a project and co-ordinate project activities or provide input in terms of projects resource allocation.

Participate in cost saving initiatives and adhere to financial procedures.

Adhere to the Group Supply Chain policy and procedures.

Ensure that all Supply Chain reporting is aligned with standards, guidelines.

Establish & maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system with the Supply Chain Function.

Company Policy & Procedures Compliance: Takes cognisance of and adhere to Company policies, procedures and relevant legislation. Manage and report on non compliance issues.
