SUMMARY:

We are looking for a buyer who will be required to research, select and purchase quality products and materials. Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing. Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

Selecting new products and reviewing the old
Finding the right suppliers
Negotiating prices (so the store doesn’t get ripped off)
Ensuring the products are delivered on time
Stock control
Budgeting
Reacting to any changes in customer demand
Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones

Experience and Qualifications:

Matric
Procurement Qualification would be advantageous
Previous buying experience
