Business Systems Architect

SUMMARY:
The Business Systems Architect in the Business Intelligence Unit is responsible for designing and maintaining the architecture of BI systems and data platforms.

POSITION INFO:

This role ensures that BI solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives, enabling accurate and efficient data-driven decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Architecture Design: Develop and maintain the overall architecture for business systems, ensuring integration and interoperability across platforms.
• Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• System Integration: Design and oversee integration strategies between internal and external systems.
• Governance & Standards: Establish and enforce architecture standards, best practices, and compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
• Technology Evaluation: Assess emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve business processes and system performance.
• Business Intelligence Team Management and Duties.
• Prepare reports for presentation to the IT Steercom.
• Documentation: Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and system roadmaps.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, developers, and business units to ensure successful implementation and support of systems.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory. Equivalent experience, certifications, or other relevant qualifications will also be considered.
• Minimum 5–8 years in IT architecture or systems design roles.
• Proven experience with ERP, CRM, and enterprise integration platforms.
