Exciting career opportunity for a Business Development/Sales Manager at a 4PL Logistics Company in Johannesburg.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description

  • Finding new business from a sound database of self generate leads
  • An understanding of sales and marketing principles
  • Knowledge of international trade principles
  • An understanding of Air, Road and Sea freight forwarding practices and procedures
  • Meeting sales performance targets
  • Understanding freight costs and mark-ups
  • Liaising with clients
  • Maintaining and updating client record information
  • Continue expansion among existing clients

 Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Any sales diploma or degree is an added advantage
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of progressive sales executive experience in the clearing, forwarding and logistics industry
  • Proven sales track record of sales growth
  • Must understand tariff codes and INCO terms
  • Customer service orientated
  • Good communication skills both in person and online
  • Able to navigate around Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Need to be innovative and able to operate in the digital logistics space
  • Good decision-making and negotiation skills
  • Good presentation skills
